Kohlingen Monastery use to be a place that provide peace and protection of Kohlingen. A man named Sowshen a former warrior ran the place. He cared for the other warriors staying there, and people of Kohlingen. Sowshen was always depressed, due to buring those he knew and loved. The biggest tragedy was after the war with Okari. Sowshen wasn't only injured, but his wife had died, and his brother, who his wife bore a son. Sowshen, seeing that he wasn't able to care for the boy, took the child to a Sheikah Tribe in Tirion Province. He then closed down the Monastery, but lived alone inside of it. One night during a storm. A man came to Sowshen's door step, and was dying. He told Sowshen about what has happen to him, and he gave Sowshen a broken artifact that contained pure dark energy.
Sowshen then bruied the man, during the storm. Before he closed the man's coffin, he took a look at the broken artifact and placed it into the man's coffin, but to his surprise, the corpse of the man, started to shake, out of fear, Sowshen closed the coffin and fled with the jewel. Sowshen cut himself and his blood turned black. The next day, Sowshen check the graveyard, still in fear, and peek into the man's coffin, which wasn't properly buried. Sowshen didn't see the man and he ran back inside the Monastery. Sowshen then hear the Organ inside playing, and out of shock, saw the man. The man, then told Sowshen that he will obey him. Sowshen was shocked to see the man came back to life, but looking a bit disfigured. Months later, Sowshen infused the artifact with various objects, giving him dark powers. He became corrupted. He met a a man, sharing the same abilities and learned from him. As his first test, Sowshen kidnapped a villager, and experiment on the victim, along with the other corrupted man. The victim became mindless, and had some sort of interest in fairies after the experiment. Since they were successful, they didn't have any use for the man, and dropped him off on an island that had fairies. Swoshen started to part away from the man, thinking that he can handle himself and began other experiments. He thought that he sapped the power away from the jewel and toss it outside in the grass.
After training and practicing his power, Sowshen himself became disfigured and rapped his face in bandages. The Kohlingen villager discovered the new Sowshen, and out of fear, went inside the Monastery to kill him after Sowshen's failed abduction of a woman in Kohlingen. The villager brutalized Sowshen, and burned him alive within the Monastery. The man who Sowshen revived secretly kidnapped the villagers who were inside the Monastery and took them further inside the building. After this the villager sealed away the Monastery with a steel door and tossed the key somewhere in the cemetery. The undead looking man covered from head to toe in blood who kidnapped the villagers, began to gather the remains of Swoshen, and placed it by the Organ.
Kohlingen Cemetery was then abandon for years. But after the years went on by, many forgot about Sowshen and consider the story of him a myth. The myth was that a man will send out his butler to kidnap anyone who spends the night in the cemetery. Others say that the butler brings you to Sowshen to be eaten/burned alive. But there was a boy who wasn't so scared of the cemetery and played there. When the boy's father died, he was buried there, at the time, the child found the artifact and hid it away, so that he may place with it himself when given the chance. But unknown to this boy, playing around with it, only made him sick. The sicker he grow, the more darker and ugly his temperance gets. The boy then ran off to the cemetery to cry at his father's grave, only to finally be corrupted by the artifact. After this, people feared the Cemetery, and broke the bridge leading to it.
In game, Link does encounter the boy before his sickness, and the boy, known as Jeremy, cannot be seen after the gathering all the pendants. Many will tell you that Sowshen has taken the boy. If Link gains access to the cemetery during this event, he will hear a faint organ playing in the background.
Centro, the warrior only leads Link nearby the Cemetery, but later on, helps Link enter the Monastery. As for Barius, he has a bone to pick with whatever is inside the Monastery.
The Boy named Jeremy, suffered an interesting effect from the Artifact, he resembles Okari and bares a small bit of that power. Braizal, on the other hand, is an imaginary friend of Jeremy who now manifests from Jeremy’s new found dark powers.
Braizal attempts to “break” Link of his courage and make him suffer slowly in pain and death, as for Jeremy wanting to make Link show a major sign of fear.
