I think the general resources thing is a good idea. At least we are staying with video games. :P

The staff needs to chill out about certain things. I have noticed they edit posts without much good reason. Claiming something is a flame or something. When it's just a joke.

Its not a joke if someone complains about it, thats the problem.

So far it all sounds pretty good.

Quote
- Develop a wiki conduct/policy.

This is definitely a must.

Quote
- Bring back Snooper

Personally i never really looked at the snooper for more then a second or two.

Quote
- Work better at affiliating the chat and repopulating it.

A must if we want to get the chat bigger.

Quote
- Work on forming a formal Nintendo organization between fan game websites.
   - Progression/Discussion on pushing for a sister site/affiliated website for independent game development.

These two seem a lot harder to bring into zfgc then all of the others.

O.o how in the world could you possibly know that? lol people tend to use PM as a (smart) way to inform staff of problems :p

But I agree with the concept... The only thing is; I dunno why conduct guidelines would have to be made for the wiki, since as far as I know, its set up for staff-only; unless you mean like staff edit guidelines as well as entry type layouts (to meet quality standards)

Actually, SSB: NES' website and forum would make much more sense, since IGC=Indie Game Central.
It would make more sense for ZFGC to be connected to other Nintendo fangaming sites moreso, I think.
And IGC is dead, yet the SSB: NES forums are nearly as active as ZFGC right now, and activity and population will probably be 10x the ammount once the game is released.

You know, isn't it kind of odd that even though we're a gaming-related forum, we don't have a particular game that we commonly play.  I'm not sure how to explain this very well, but you could kind of see it how our chat is.  It's another place we go hang out at.  Though it would be best if it was browser based...

One very good example of what I mean is something like JDuno  The only problem with that is that you have to download it onto your PC, and since I believe it was made with GameMaker, it'll only work on Windows-based OSes.

...and also I couldn't connect to JDuno's server that last I tried >_> (even though I was able to the first time)

Or we COULD keep the chat on IRC, an established and popular internet protocol for chat clients, have people use the web-based PJIRC IRC Client which lo and behold we have on the server, and perhaps have things like JDuno remain what they are; Side-things not related to ZFGC <_<;

There's such a double standard about religion in the modern world. Catholics can gather, wear white robes, and say "In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti" and be considered normal.

But if my friends and I gather, wear black robes, and say  "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn", we're considered cultists.

It honestly doesn't matter to me what happens with the rest of the site, I just want to keep the forum relatively how it is and finish developing the wiki.

I wasn't saying to REMOVE the IRC chat -_-;  I was saying that this game idea is more of just another mean of interacting with each-other.

AND I wasn't trying to say to use JDuno, I just said a small browser-based game like that with multiplayer would pwn.
