Yo. I've just put up a brand-new beta-tested Zelda game made with GM 6.1. The engine is a clone of BS Zelda with all custom maps and dungeons. I'm stoked about it going out onto Yoyogames and am asking/pleading some people to review it for me. I offer nothing in return except a good, classic NES-style gaming experience and infinite, undying gratitude (and who doesn't want infinite, undying gratitude?).

Details:
The game has a huge world (frickin, frickin huge) with lots of secrets and about a hundred different types of enemies, seven complete dungeons with bosses and mini-bosses, dozens of items including six magic wands with different abilities and six magic rings that change you into different elemental and animal forms. It's also got the raft and a free-roaming ocean area. It takes hours to complete (even for me).

Here's the link:
http://www.yoyogames.com/games/show/14237

Here's some screenshots (If they work...):

If you don't want to get the yoyo online-play software you can download the game's .exe in the bottom right corner of the page.

Please review. Please, please review.

Thanks muchly.

Cheers.

Sweet! :O
I love this style of graphics, it is beautiful.

And btw... BS? LOL BS zelda ;p
Thats !@#$% :O

BS stands for... Aug what was it? *Something* Satella... It was a thing for the Super Nintendo that was only released in Japan. It had some cool extra Zelda/other games, like BS Legend of Zelda, BS Legend of Zelda: The Stone Tablets, BS Excite Bike, Marvelous, and some others I can't recall.

Played some of it.

Pretty awesome nice job! Though I did get lost easily... I went to Ruto and didn't know what to do after that, I went on the mountains and just got lost...

Re: getting lost.

I have a map function built in. Press M to bring up maps in dungeons or the overworld. Just remember that it doesn't pause the game.

Actually, there has been a fangame called "Return to Hyrule" before this one ;P.
I'll try the demo a bit later, but it's nice to see a game made in BS-graphics. There aren't many of those around here.

Why doesn't the walking animation stop when you stop walking?

That was a bit of an oversight. I remember having some trouble with the code when I first programmed the animation, and then I put it off until later and forgot about it. Oops.    XD
