Well I have checked it out and it looks real legit. I will so love them if they actually pull this off.
The storyline is based around Ocarina of Time This looks awesome. The production value isn't the best, but for a fanmovie it rox my sox!
Here are some screens

Check out the trailer here.

Okay this is the FAQ from thier site so it will answer some/most questions.

When will the movie be released?

A release date is to be advised.

How will the movie be distributed?

No distribution method has been decided upon as yet.

Will the movie be available in <<insert name of country>>?

The movie will be available worldwide. This includes your country!

How long is the movie's runtime?

The movie hasn't been completed yet, but it is estimated to be around 2 hours.

How close to the Ocarina of Time game is the movie?

The movie has not been named after the game, because it is only inspired by the Ocarina story. It is not a direct conversion of the game onto the big screen, and therefore there will be differences.

Will there be any monsters?

Yes.

Will Link speak?

Yes.

Will there be a sequel?

This is highly unlikely.

It's going to be available on the internet, and the internet is worldwide, so it's true.

yue: It's an independent film to be released on the internet... Everyone will be able to access it.
It looks pretty good in my opinion. I'll be sure to watch it when it's released.

It's only an independent film. The trailer might have fooled you to believe that this is going to be an amazing movie, but all of these people are only making the movie out of their own free will, without getting paid. Plus, they haven't bought the rights to the Zelda series and it's unlikely that Nintendo would sell it to them.

Well yeah, we realized it was an independent film.. You can easily notice that by the quality of the camera shots. The point is, is that I like how it looks, so when (and if) it is released, I'll take the time to download and watch it, since it looks pretty interesting.

Ugh. Note to all of you. A bunch of LARPers and fanboys/-girls with some budget and trivial dress-creation-ability are incapable to create a serious movie that is kind of loosely based on a 20-years old Video-Game-saga. Period. Look at Legend Of Link. It was supposed to be serious at first, but ended up in being a spoof. It WAS hilarious and entertaining, but only because it was its intention.

I know you can't compare THESE, but look at Final Fantasy. The saga has three movies already (The Spirits Within, The Last Order, Advent Children), and none of these were real-time movies. All animated. Even if Animu.

Most video-games are NOT supposed to leave the territory of animation. Zelda is no exception. End of story.
I won't appreciate any Zelda-movie, but if Nintendo really decicdes on making one (highly unlikely) then they better make it a 3D-animated ass-kicker. OR SO HELP ME GOD.

This will either be pretty good or be a disgrace to everything Zelda.

Either way I'll love it, so I can't wait for the release :D

I just figure it is worth a view. I don't expect it to be the next blockbuster hit, but the production value looks about equivalent to a PBS movie, but if you do watch it you need to remember it is only inspired by OOT, and will have differences from the game.

I don't even think I'll bother watching it. If they manufacture it and expect money out of it (which, legally, they damn well should not) I'm not going to go looking around the internet to order a copy. And if they put it up for download I'm not going to waste my time download hundreds of megabytes for something I won't enjoy anyway.

advent children was a very good movie, but final fantasy would NOT be good with live actors...Also zelda shouldn't leave video games...it just shouldn't.

I think this looks like it could have potential...but not as a fan movie. Those can have some cool effects and stuff, but they just don't have the same polish and attention to detail. I mean notice they only showed human characters (except Ganondorf). Imagine what the other species would look like...

Well said. However, if they really intent to sell copies or make money in ANY way with it, it will be a matter of hours (if not minutes) until Nintendo forces the host of the site(s) to shut it down. There are just fanboys that are checking it the very first second it comes out and instantly write mails to Nintendo... heck, if the creators are already saying they're going to sell it, it's a wonder they haven't been sued yet. O_o

If you look at thier site it says they plan on making it downloadable as well as posting it on Youtube and Google movies for people to watch it is free to watch only thing it will cost you is your time.  Right now they are working on the special effects they are done taping the movie so it will come out pretty soon according to David (the guy playing Link).

They could have at least bought a copy of the Master Sword instead of having Link wielding the Soul Calibur... And yes, it does look a lot like it.
