Zelda Fan Game Central Chat Room
Tutorial - Step 2: Clients and applets
As of now, there are three ways to enter #zfgc, our chatroom. They
all have their pros and antis...pick the one you like the best.
1) ZFGC.com
JAVA Chat Applet
This is the easiest way to get into
#zfgc. This is an applet that can be reached with the most
browsers (Of course including Internet Explorer and FireFox).
Go to http://www.zfgc.com/chat/
and enter your desired nickname. Then choose what server you
want to use. It doesn't really matter which, both will lead
you to the same place; namely #ZFGC :p. Lastly, click Let's
Chat and you're in.
2) mIRC
This is your most complete for a
chat client, though it is slightly complicated. mIRC is an
application that runs under Windows and can be downloaded at http://www.mirc.com.
In the textbox at the bottom, type "/server irc.windfyre.net". Then type again
"/join #zfgc" and you'll be in the chat.
3) Windfyre
JAVA
This is an alternative that's not affiliated to
ZFGC. It's the website of our server, so we don't take any
responsibility for this site.
To get on chat through this Java client, just go to the
site http://www.windfyre.net/
and fill in the nickname you want to use to chat, your
password for your nick (if you have one. If you do not know
what the hell I'm talking about, read the next page), and
choose '#ZFGC' from the drop-downlist. Click "Chat now!"
and you should be in.
